Nesbitt’s Meat Market was founded in 1977 by Jim Nesbitt who established the Nesbitt’s name in the Kawartha’s. The ownership switched over to Adam Hayward in 2000. Adam had spent his entire life in Lindsay and his younger years working for Jim Nesbitt at the shop. Adam now has 30 years of experience and has passed his knowledge down to his hand picked and trained staff.

Since 1977 our mission has not changed. We are committed to bringing in fresh, locally raised meat sourced from the most respected farms in our vicinity to ensure unmatched quality.

Our staff are skillfully trained to cut, trim, or size any piece to your personal specification or preference to make your meal the very best it can be. Many of our items in store are made right in the house! Fresh pork sausages, hamburger patties, meat pies, pemeal back bacon and many more are made with care by our dedicated staff. With top quality products and expert level advice, you can always feel confident that your meal will make mouths water and guests returning to your table!

Nesbitt’s Meat Market has also been committed to being a helpful member of our community. We have been contributing to many events and organizations all around the Kawartha’s for many years. We are proud supporters of: Kawartha Lakes Special Olympics, Fireworks in Little Britain, Riverwood Park, The Dragon Flies Breast Cancer Survivor Group, City of Kawartha Lakes United Way, Kawartha Kavaliers and many more!
